Returns
- Timeframe for Returns: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return for eligible items.

Eligibility for Returns: To be eligible for a full refund or exchange, your item must meet the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition that you received it.
- It must be returned in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and any included promotional items.
- You must provide a valid proof of purchase, such as your order confirmation email or receipt.
- Non-Returnable Items: For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items are not eligible for return unless they are faulty or not as described. These may include (please specify if you have any such items, e.g., sharpening stones that have been used, personalized items).

How to Initiate a Return:
- Please contact us via email at japaneseknifegarage@gmail.com within the 14-day return period to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- Once your return is approved and you receive an RMA number, carefully package the item(s) in the original packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package.
- Ship the package to the return address provided in our RMA instructions.
Refunds
- Inspection Process: Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets our return eligibility criteria. We will notify you via email about the status of your return and refund process.
- Refund Approval: If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment.
- Refund Timeline: Please allow 5-10 business days from the date your return is approved for the refund to appear in your account. The exact timeframe may vary depending on your payment provider and their processing times.
- Partial Refunds: In some cases, partial refunds may be granted (e.g., for items returned with minor damage not caused by shipping or missing minor accessories). This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Exchanges (Optional)
- If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, model, or another product, please contact us at japaneseknifegarage@gmail.com to discuss the available options. Exchanges are subject to product availability. Additional shipping charges may apply.
Shipping Costs for Returns
- Customer Responsibility: Unless the item is faulty or not as described, you will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs.
- Non-Refundable Shipping: Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Deduction of Return Shipping: If you receive a refund for a non-faulty item, the cost of return shipping (if arranged by us or if a prepaid label was provided) may be deducted from your refund.
- Faulty or Incorrect Items: If you received a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us immediately. We will provide instructions for the return and will cover the return shipping costs. We will also arrange for a replacement or a full refund, as appropriate.
Damaged Items During Shipping
- If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the shipment. Please provide photos of the damaged packaging and the damaged item(s). We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include arranging a replacement or a refund.
